Although dad wasn't feeling good at all, his side of the family was having a Thanksgiving celebration today, and he wanted to go. My mom was wanting things to feel normal like every year preparing something to bring. So she called my Aunt Diane for a recipe to make a cranberry salad. My Aunt Diane, instead of giving her the recipe, showed up this morning to surprise my mom with the cranberry salad already made, some rolls and a Fall candle. My mom was not the only one balling her eyes out when she told me this story. I can't even tell you how the things that people probably think are so small of help, come as a tremendous blessing to our family. Thank you Aunt Diane for blessing my parents today. Mom said, "I got to spend the morning with dad while he was sick, instead of in the kitchen." It really meant a lot to them.
Dad really enjoyed being in the company of his family today even though he felt so sick. He was able to eat a spoonful of each yummy dish, as mom did the same with him.
Please please pray that Tuesday's chemo will attack that mass!!! And please pray that during these next couple of days, that gagging feeling will go away and dad will be able to sleep at night.
Thank you for all of your love, support and prayers
Praying for you all sweet friends! Love ya
