My mom woke up this morning and walked into the living room to turn on the computer to call me; as she reached the living room, she heard a loud bang and her heart dropped. She ran to her room to find my dad lying on the ground; he had passed out and hit his head on the wall. After enough time of trying to wait it out at home, she knew she HAD to get him to the hospital. She drove him straight to City of Hope with the hopes to get him admitted. The paperwork was still being passed around and after trying for 2 hours in the waiting room to get him in, it was unsuccessful. My brother and sis-in-law met my mom at COH and helped them brainstorm on what to do. COH told my mom to take him home and wait for their call when his bed would be ready and all paperwork done. The Sheriff's department was great on talking with them to get things going, but COH was still not ready for him yet. My parents and Travis (my bro) decided to take him to Loma Linda where they have always taken great care of my dad.
They now have my dad back to normal color and food and water in his system. He was so dehydrated the doctors said. He looked so much better this evening (your evening). When I was on with them, my dad's alarm was going off. His breathing had dropped to 60 and was supposed to be around 90-100 I guess. The nurse ran in while I was on skype and said my dad needed to be put on oxygen. Please pray for his breathing. Also pray for his heart because of the issue with the valve (from the chemo). They were getting ready to move him out of the emergency room to his own room. The Sheriffs Department will have him transported by ambulance as soon as City of Hope is ready for him within the next couple days hopefully.
Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement. We know God's timing is everything and he has my family in his hands. Mom and Dad were all big smiles today, just knowing that they are under the care of a doctor now and getting dad hydrated again.
Thanks again. Love you all.
