My dad did finally get the pet scan done that Loma Linda was going to do the day that he left their hospital. The results have taken at least a week. He also needed the bone marrow done that LL hospital was also going to do. My mom put her foot down yesterday and made many phone calls to get him in for the bone marrow. All of the insurance and referral details are so confusing to me, but all of this waiting is sure teaching us good patience. My mom did get through to them and they squeezed dad into an afternoon appointment. Results from the pet scan and bone marrow to follow on the next blog.

Left Loma Linda
My dad's insurance did indeed make my dad leave Loma Linda Hospital. He is at home now and my mom is being his personal nurse and taking great care of him. My dad was taking dilotin to help with the pain, but that was not helping the pain and actually causing side effects of painful muscles and joints. They now have him on Oxycotin to help with the pain. My mom has been helping him a lot with getting around. My dad was able to go see all of his friends at work, and actually took them goodies. They all freaked out when they saw dad coming to visit them with goodies, when they felt like they were to come visit him with goodies. A lot of people have wanted to visit and we are so grateful for those that love him and want to support him; though, he has been in so much pain and not really feeling up to visitors.
