An Amazing Week
Sorry that it has been so long since my last update on dad. He is doing great! We arrived to the States on the 18th. It was a blessing to be with my dad on Fathers Day. We went out to eat for lunch with my mom and dad to celebrate Father's day and Cody's 30th b-day. Dad has kept his appetite all week and we've been eating so well! We are trying to fatten up dad to get him gaining weight. He gained 5 pounds this week since we've been here. My dad and mom, Cody and I took Koda to Chuck E Cheese on his birthday and to see Cars 2. Dad has been laying on his stomach this week playing with the kids. We are praying that dad's cancer is shrinking. His port was successfully put in and he will receive his next chemo this Thursday. We are praying that his belirubin levels are down; he was only able to receive half his dose of chemo last time. So we are praying that this week he can have the full dose and that is only if the levels are down. We results also came back to show that he does have cancer in the bone marrow. Before they decide to do a bone marrow transplant, the doctors want to see if the chemo will work on the bone marrow cancer. Please pray with us that the chemo is working!!! We are hoping that the doctors will allow us to see if the chemo is shrinking the cancer. We are still unsure how long we will be here, but we are just enjoying every moment with dad and mom. We've played board games together, enjoyed swinging on the back patio, facebooked together and continue to spend quality time together. We all went to church together this morning at the HDC Apple Valley campus. It was so nice to be together in church again. We have been staying here at my parents house this week, but when Dad has chemo this Thursday we will be staying at my grandparents house till we see how dad is doing. Thank you for your continued prayers for my dad.
